When I met with Tingwei this time, we went to the SLC to talk. I want to bring him to different places on campus each week so that he can get to know a little more about campus before he starts his classes. We went to the SLC this time because that's a place that I love because of all the things they have to do there. I really love seeing movies there, so I wanted him to know about it. I also really love games, so I thought that would make it easier and more fun to talk about them since the SLC has so many different types of games. We ended up talking a lot about our hobbies and different games we played growing up. We talked about board games, computer games, and game consoles. It was interesting to see how things differed in our different countries, but for the most part, we were familiar with the same "mainstream" games. I think we might go back there another time to actually play some games together because both of us grew up watching our older siblings play instead of playing ourselves. He seemed to really open up this time too. We also talked about fun trips we had taken and what made them fun. It was a really great conversation, and I'm excited to talk to him more the next time we meet.
