Saad and I met for pizza. We enjoyed our pizza, I learned he doesn't eat most meat, but does eat chicken. I only eat seafood as far as meat is concerned. We spent a long time talking about Ramadan and how fasting usually occurred for him in Saudi Arabia. He is concerned about how the fasting will be able to happen here since typically the shops are open until the early hours of the morning for everyone to eat when not fasting. We also discussed marriage culture in the U.S. versus Saudi Arabia and women's ability to drive in the states versus not being allowed to in his home country. Saad indicated his sister doesn't like not being allowed to drive and would tweet to the government about it. He said she has a personal driver, which is common for his hometown, so she can get to where she needs to go at any moment. It was an interesting dinner!
