Today I met with Abdulrahman and we focused on speaking. He really enjoys telling me about the Arabic language, so we used that as a focus point. Since we were at Lake Ella, we used building signs and menus for reference. This allowed us to talk about food culture, as a Muslim he does not eat pork. He is always interested in my choice of being a vegetarian and we talked about what we like to eat. In our session today we were able to focus on communicative English in real life which was fun for both of us. I used a lot of miming motions to explain myself, which aligns with my personality since I talk with my hands a lot already!
