Saad and I went to Food Truck Thursday. We had a fun time getting outside and having to decide what to order. We met with some others from our classes and it helped make the conversation more natural, and also interesting! One of the girls was from Venezuela, and Saad is from Saudi Arabia, so we were able to compare cultural differences among the three. We talked a lot about dogs because there were many at Lake Ella, and Saad informed us that cats and dogs (among other house pets) are not common in Saudi Arabia. He made a funny joke about all Americans having a guitar but not knowing how to play it... He wasn't far off. I have a guitar I can't play! Ramadan starts Saturday, so I imagine our hang out sessions will have to differ for the next few meetings.
