I met with Badriya yesterday and I was so excited to hear about her vacation. We talked about her trip to Miami and Orlando and the things that she did and saw. She visited quite a few Arab restaurants on her trip and she really enjoyed having that taste of home. She's learned some fun new vocabulary like paddle boat and golf to go along with her stories. She told me about how her speaking presentation went and what she talked about which was marriage culture in Saudi Arabia so it was very interesting. She is doing very well self-correcting when she makes mistakes during conversations. We also discussed the differences between there, they're, and their as well as two, to, and too. We got back into a food discussion and she asked if I've ever had Arab food and I mentioned that I haven't so when we meet next weekend, she's going to cook and I'll bring dessert. I'm so looking forward to it!
