I observed Grammar group3A class. Felicia
Ciappetta was the instructor. She started the class by reviewing beautiful
mistakes the students made yesterday. The mistakes were shown on the white
board and the students discussed about the mistakes with their partners. Then
Felicia and the students corrected the mistakes together. Felicia explained why they were grammmar errors.
They did another list
of mistakes. Again, the students first discussed it with their partners and
then corrected the mistakes with the instructor.
The next activity was to discuss about a
grammar topic. The topic was “What is a gerund and an infinitive?”. The
students discussed about it with their partners and then the instructor asked
students questions. She explained the differences of gerund and infinitive.
The last activity the students did was a fill
in the blank worksheet. The students worked on the worksheet by themselves.
They decided to review the answers tomorrow.All students were participating and nobody seemed uninterested. They all were very active during the lesson.
