Topic/Skill: Image identification, words that start with c, colors 

Christian and I met and I started with an image identification activity. I provided different photos of dogs and he had to identify the different pieces of the images. I also asked him about colors. He struggled with identifying colors, so this can be something we work on in the future. After image identification with pre-existing pictures, we moved onto more interactive work. I drew an image and he had to identify it, then we would work on spelling the words together. All of the words started with the letter "c," like his name! We then created stories using the words (crown, chair, car, cat, candy, cloud). Christian is able to identify letters when I point to them, but has trouble with sounds and letters (p and h specifically). I will continue to work with him on these tasks. He enjoyed this activity, but his attention grew faint toward the end of our session. I definitely understand the shorter time frame for meeting with kids.
