Gabriela and I met on June
11th, 2017 at 10:30 am at the Starbucks on Copeland. During this session,
she told me she had received some worksheets she had gotten in class because
she was having a hard time differentiating some words when she heard them. When
she showed me the sheet I realized they were minimal pairs. The ones she seemed
to be having the most trouble with was with sleep/slip, men/man, and
women/woman. I had her say each word about 30 times and then I would say them
each 30 times so that she could hear the difference. I told her to keep
practicing and we would use the next session to see her improvement.
