We tutored the kids again
on June 3rd at 10:00 am at their house. During this session, I
worked with two of the younger kids again but this time instead of me telling
them words or asking them words I had them read the words on the workbook. I quickly
came to the realization that they were having a lot of trouble pronouncing the
words and being able to read them because they did not know the phonetic alphabet
very well. Since I was not prepared to teach them the phonetic alphabet I
decided to just read the words to them by syllables so that it would be a
little easier for them to see where the sounds were coming from.
