For this session we met at Starbucks. Similar to last time Sheila needed help figuring out her homework. She was asked to complete a worksheet by writing sentences answering the prompted questions. The subject was "What are some of the differences and similarities between living in the country and in the city in your country." We spoke for a little while about it and I took notes on some of the things she was saying to help narrow it down to a few key ideas. I helped her come up with 3 primary differences between the two. She explained that later she would have to write an essay so I tried to direct her thinking to coming up with some statements and information to support them. This took up the majority of our time. I took some questioning and some translating to come up with the three statements. She knew what the differences were but not quite how to write them out in English. I asked her to continue bringing her drafts to me so I could advise her what was good and what wasn't.
