Kaitlin TS #12

Date/Time:  Wednesday, June 14th, 2017

Location: Starbucks

Topic/Skill: Using tenses in conversation

As peer Saeed's request, I tried to focus on grammar correction while speaking and pronunciation. This session, I had him run through cycles of all the basic tenses while speaking with me. For example, I had him start off by telling me about what he did in the morning, what he was doing at the moment, and what he plans to do after. I also had him tell me what he would like to be doing if he could. We tried to make it as conversational as possible, but I would still step in and correct/document errors that I heard. I found that he struggles with dropping the verb and articles still, but is still very clear when he speaks. He seemed to be much less frustrated this week, so I've learned that listening to your tutee is very important.
