I met with Gabriela on
June 15th at 7:00 pm at the Starbucks on Copeland. We practiced
minimal pairs a little more just to reinforce what we had already practice and
to make sure she really could tell a difference. She had another vocabulary
list and she asked if she could read the words to me to make sure that she was
pronouncing them correctly. I told her about how in English there is something
called a homonym, so some words sound the same but they are written differently
and have different meanings. She found this to be very interesting and wanted
to find more homonyms, so we spent the rest of the time looking at homonyms and
I would explain the meaning of some words she didn’t recognize.
