Soumaya and I met up again, the week of her second semester at CIES. She wanted to work on reading comprehension so we just did the homework she'd been assigned and I asked her to give me a summary of what was happening in the novel after every couple of paragraphs.
Her English is getting so much better! Especially from the first time we hung out as conversation partners. It's awesome to see all the progress she's making and continues to make. I hope that we will continue our friendship long after this course is over.
