My last tutoring session was with the family of five children. Since this was the final time we would be meeting, the other tutors and I wanted to make it really fun for the kids.

We brought over Apples to Apples, a basic vocabulary game that can be challenging yet hilarious and played with them as the tutoring exercise. We would put back any words that were much too diffucult but kept ones that were just in their grasp, in order to at least add to their receptive vocabulary. It's been such a blast getting to know the kids and seeing their English progress, even if it was just by a small amount.
