For this meeting I invited Fahd to my house to hangout by the pool for the 4th. I invited some of my close friends to come over around noon and we hung around the pool for several hours. I think it was good way to introduce him to different people and have meaningful interactions in English. I have a pretty diverse friend range so there were lots of cultures within the culture to see. My friend Eric is black and works as a cook, he also played football. My room mate Walker was a mechanic and my other room mate James was in the army. So there were lots of different people from different backgrounds to talk to. I also bought some all beef franks and steaks to grill. I also grilled peppers and corn all so he could get a taste of what is a typical or traditional July 4th menu and see how people celebrate independence day. Some of my friends brought some other foods for the grill like chicken and hamburgers. I was happy to show that lots of different people cook, like to cook, and take pride in cooking well. Later we threw the football around and exchanged stories till everyone went home.
