This tutoring session was the last one I had with PJ, due to him starting reading camp and some vacations we both had planned. His spirits seemed a little gloomy at the beginning of this session so we began with discussing what activities he'd been doing over the summer. He's been learning how to be a better swimmer, which was hard when we were getting so much rain. He talked about the Eagle Scouts and how he wants to get all his Boy Scout badges so he can one day be an Eagle Scout and get their scholarship.
Once we got to Holes, I asked him to tell me what was going on in the book during the last chapter, because the book was at one of it's pivotal points. Knowing he's reading multiple books at the moment, I gave him a couple hints and then he had an "Ah-ha!" moment. He summarized the last chapter perfectly and then we dove into three more chapters.
