For this session I talked with Fahd about his future academic plans and the TOEFL test. So to start off I asked him what his goals were. He said he wants to pursue civil engineering at the University of Wisconsin. I made sure he knew what some of the things he might experience their, primarily how ridiculously cold it can get there. I also talked to him about how he plans to move there. He said he was going to drive so I mentioned Uhaul and some of the things to expect when driving that far. After that we talked about the TOEFL. He was planning on traveling to Tampa he said to take the test in a week or two. I mostly explained some of the ways he can diversify his vocabulary and practice comprehension skills by finding level appropriate material to study. I suggested he find a novel, magazine, or newspaper he was interested in to try to read everyday.
