Feedback provided to tutee: She did a great job explaining her viewpoints on the movie.
I met with Dasom this time to talk about the Wonder Woman movie because I wanted to hear her thoughts, and I wanted her to practice her speaking some more about something which we both knew. We talked about how the movie was empowering and how Diana adjusted to the new culture in London. We talked about how she didn't know that people don't usually walk around with swords or shields and how you can't just walk up to someone's baby just because it's cute. Dasom liked that Wonder Woman was such a powerful character. She said that she had a hard time understanding some of the accents in the movie though. She got the gist of just about everything, but it was hard for her to follow the dialogue when someone had a German accent. I was also telling Dasom about how Gal Gadot was actually pregnant for some of the filming of the movie, so they had to use a green screen for part of her stomach in some scenes. Dasom said she thought that the fighting scenes were very cool though, and she liked that the women were so powerful. I know that this wasn't a typical tutoring session, but I thought it was a good break to get her mind off of her finals. I'm really glad that she enjoyed the movie, and she doesn't seem to be overly worried about her finals either.
