Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: Worked on getting Jiwon to edit an essay that she had written for school. 

Yesterday I picked Jiwon up at CIES after classes were let out and we went to Catalina Coffee Co. which she actually showed me and is a great little spot to get coffee and chat. We sat down and she got her tablet out showing a writing assignment that she wanted feedback on. I read through and made some notes and then had her go through and make changes based on my notes. We then went over the whole paper again together making changes and working together one last time to fix any lingering mistakes in grammar and word choice. We also polished up the flow and structure of the paper making sure that everything made sense and was organized in a proper manner. We then looked at another, shorter piece of writing that Jiwon had written to practice for the TOEFL and went through the same process with it. We decided we would meet on Wednesday for our last meeting of the session.
