Alexandra TS #13

On Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, I met with my adult tutee Natalia in the CIES.  She told me about the city of Kiev in Ukraine, and we talked about capitals in the U.S.  We talked about Tallahassee, and we looked up information on why it is the capital of Florida.  Natalia seems interested in learning bits of American history.  It was fun to laugh together about the fact that Tallahassee rather than Miami or Orlando is still the capital.  Natalia told me about her visit to China several years ago.  I had lots of questions for her because I was so interested in the topic.  We also compared coffee in the U.S. to that of other places in the world.  We both agreed that the U.S.’s coffee is not nearly as good as coffees in other regions like Europe.  Overall, this was one of our most informative and communicative sessions.  We were about to talk in depth, back and forth, about a wide range of new topics.
