Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: Helped Saeed prepare for his listening exam this week. 

For today's session I met Saeed at the Campus circle study rooms and he informed me that he had some exams coming up this week and wanted me to help him prepare for a few. We got to work right away and he decided he wanted me to help him prepare for his Listening exam, which he felt was what he needed the most help on. We went through some practice listening exercises, listening through a couple of times and checking for comprehension with questions about the content, and true and false questions. We then worked on paraphrasing, something that his teacher said would be on the exam, using sentences from the script of the listening piece we came up with other ways to express what those sentences were trying to say. This was the hardest part for Saeed so we spent the majority of the session working on that. We then decided to meet Wednesday for our final tutoring session and I wished him luck on his tests coming up and headed out.
