Today, I met with Nanami for the first time. She is from Japan, and she actually came to America pretty recently. We got to learn a lot of things about each other. I learned about her interest in reading, sports, politics, and other cultures. We talked about languages and how in Japan the students start to learn English in Elementary school. She also told me about her older siblings, roommates, and her plan to get a PhD.
Furthermore, she told me about her favorite American foods! She told me that she loves pizza, hamburgers, and hot dogs. We learned a lot of different things about each other, and I'm excited for our next meetup.
